It is a play of duality: a fragile-looking, but solid combination of aesthetics and madness: the works of young artist Rustan aspires to give the viewer a difficult but tasteful experience of darkness.
Between sensuous and disturbing scenes capture sorted irony and criticism, disgust and obsession in all degrees.
Rustan brings to her surreal sculptures and paintings ruthlessly suppressed desires and often the fears of the beholder, and offers the viewer a way to come to terms with sexuality, death and impermanence.
She crafts her work using a variety of materials such as modern modeling pastes, foams, polyester and epoxy resin, fiberglass, Plexiglas, plaster, concrete, metal and fabrics, which opens up new creative paths.
Rustan attempts to capture the many facets of the arcane abuses, and offer it to be studied and enjoyed.
